    Description

    AMULETTE DES PHILIPINNES-FILIPINO AMULET
    SAINT JEAN
    ANTING ANTING TALISMAN PROTECTION.
The Anting Anting medals or pendants that we present to you are amulets exclusively indigenous to the Philippines.
Some claim that the Spanish Catholic priests brought the original designs to the Filipinos as a myen to convert the natives.
But others claim that the practice of Anting-anting existed long before the arrival of the Spanish colonizers.
Over the centuries, this practice has evolved to become an interweaving of beliefs in which spiritualism, popular superstitions and Catholicism are closely linked.
Some consider these Antin anting as amulets or magical talismans (Agimat) supposed to give spiritual, physical or psychic powers to its owner.
Thus these amulets of the philipines (filipino amulet) are supposed to provide protection or invincibility when it is worn around the neck or near the body (a pocket for example).
These amulets are activated by a ritual with prayers in order to make the medal sacred and can be reactivated regularly for more efficiency or power.
The amulets that we offer were chosen one by one by us, they were activated during a ceremony on Good Friday 2013 in the Church.
    REF 110113 / L28 / 3816
Each amulet is handcrafted from metal (usually brass).
These Philippine amulets are very difficult to obtain as you may have noticed during your research.
In principle, we offer 2 photos for a full view (front and back of the amulet or medal of the Philippines)
    Dimension: 3.4 x 2.4 cm approximately
