    Description

    1909 advertising postcard for an attractive wall paper from the 1909 S. A. Maxwell & Co. exclusive line for sale by C. Bjorkman & Son, Aledo, Illinois. The front of postcard shows a floral wall paper with table and chair in forefront. The reverse side of card has the following text "It Costs Just as Much to prepare the walls and put up a cheap, unattractive paper, as it does a good one that harmonizes throughout, and there's not one-quarter the satisfaction. We're at your service and will give you the benefit of our experience in getting just the right thing." Postcard was mailed to a D.S. Drew of Aledo with postmark of February 23, 1909. Card franked with a one-cent green Benjamin Franklin Stamp. Measures approximately 3.50" x 5.50".
