    Civil War Brogans / Boots / Shoes - Union and Confederate Reenactment - Size 12
    Officially known as the M1851 Jefferson Bootee, the simple but rugged "brogan" was the standard issue shoe for both US and CS forces during the Civil War. They have a medium ruse upper with four eyelets for laces, a square toe, and pegged sole. The uppers on our brogans are made rough side out like the originals. Shoe black and oil for waterproofing may be applied to extend the life of the shoe. The shoe's upper can also be cut down in order transform it into wear appropriate to many impression from the later 1700's through Civil War Period.

    Brogans are offered in whole sizes only.
