This handmade Crucifixion of Christ Nail Cross Rope Bracelet
was made to
symbolize the suffering Christ endured when He was roped and nailed to the Cross.
The rope on this bracelet is approximately 30” and should be wrapped three to five rows around depending on wrist size and can be adjusted using the two sliding knots.
Hemp rope is soft, not scratchy like jute rope.
This Hemp rope and nail Cross bracelet is a daily reminder of the Crucifixion of Christ and the suffering He endured for us. Attached to the rope is a Ecce Homo/Mater Dolorosa medal. Ecce Homo is a Latin phrase meaning
behold the man, from the words of Pontius Pilate, when he presented Jesus crowned with thorns to the crowd before his crucifixion. Mater Dolorosa is also Latin, meaning
sorrowful mother,
used especially for depictions of the Virgin Mary grieving over her dead son.
Also included on the packaging is a short prayer. Crucifix not included.
Setting up your Bracelet
This bracelet is designed to wrap around your wrist 3 to 5 times depending on your wrist size and connect to the top of the nail Crucifix. All fine adjustments are made by increasing or decreasing the size of the two loops by pulling the rope through the slipknot. This adjustment will need to be done on both slipknots. Do not untie the slipknots.
Having a good look at the listing photos should help. Photo #2 is a good example of how the bracelet should fit after the adjustments are made. Notice on photo #2 that the two knots cannot be seen, the loop size has been increased and the knots are now located on the rear of the bracelet. Photos #4 and 5 show the increase and decrease of the loop size to achieve the best fit and look for you.
Setting up the bracelets fit for the first time will require a little time, after it is set up you will not need to make any further adjustment.
