This listing is for a high-quality stress relieved 90° angle, aluminum thermostat housing. This thermostat housing has been pressure tested and comes with a 10 year warranty. This warranty is unlike anything you will find in the market. Designed for the customer who wants durability closer to stainless steel, but the weight of aluminum.
Unlike other some thermostat housing this is not a cast only piece! This thermostat housing has been machine on the bottom for proper thermostat fitment and on the fastening locations. The casting has been shot peened with stainless steel media for a rust free finish that will wipe clean. As you're aware of most other manufacturers use iron shot that will end up rusting/discoloring your aluminum casting overtime.
Experienced engine builders know that all castings have prosody in them, as it's part of the casting process. So to close and seal these pores these thermostat housing have been impregnated in a vacuum chamber with a proprietary Loctite formula, assuring they will last a minimum of 10 years. As with any engine we recommend using coolant as it will make your entire engine (radiator, intake manifold, cylinder heads etc.) last longer; but one thing's for sure, you will not have to disassemble your engine simply because your thermostat housing was corroded and went bad! This thermostat housing comes with an already premium FelPro gasket that has been coated with Permatex 82099 sealant. Why is this important? Well if you're replacing your thermostat housing there's a good possibility it was because of corrosion; that same corrosion will also be eating at your manifold! By using this gasket on your manifold & thermostat housing you're assuring the best seal possible, but not just that! This seal helps protect against future corrosion wherever the gasket makes contact, thus prolonging your investment! How does this gasket work? After gasket has been fastened in place with the thermostat housing, it creates a watertight bond; after your engine cycles at 150 degrees for five minutes the Permatex reactivates and seeps into the microscopic pores where water would otherwise be eating at the surface. In other words this seals already small leaks and helps prevent future leaks!
Why purchase a thermostat housing/manifold that might only last a few years before corroding? Think you're protected by purchasing a chrome plated thermostat housing? As soon as the chrome chips, the water starts channels between the chrome plating and casting; creating a leak in your engine compartment. Don't let an item that cost less than cause you hundreds in time, effort and replacement parts.

Every item we sell or advertise is in stock, and will arrive on or before the date required; with one exception: saving time and money. Based on our customers location, we will ship direct from factory and refund the savings to the customer.

Do you offer rush shipments?
Answer:
We do not encourage rush orders, but if there is some kind of unseen issue that warrants an urgent shipment let us know we are here to help. We don't want our customers spending extra money on shipping when they could be spending their hard earned money on additional product for their project.

Do other gaskets work on this application?
Answer:
Most all flat style gaskets work on this application, but there are a few manufactures that have created their version of a "premium style gasket" that implores a raised silicon bead around the bolt holes, main hose and bypass part of the gasket. Though it is a good concept it does not fit all 302 - 351 applications. Throughout the years different manufactures (including Ford) have put the bypass location to close to the main thermostat hose creating problems when fastening the bypass hose, we've solve that problem by slightly adjusting the bypass location approximately .050" away from the main hose clamp; giving ample room to fasten your hose without breaking your knuckles.

No Prorating here! Simply provide proof of purchase with the returned casting, and you will get a new thermostat housing; even if you've neglected your engine and your coolant turned acidic! Our goal is to get you cruising back on the road with your family.
