Japanese  Kimono Robe - Cranes, Clouds, Trees  - Orange,Blue, Green Gold

Description

This robe was purchased from a store in Tokyo, Japan called The Harajuku Chicago Shop in 1985. This store carries clothes from the states upstairs and downstairs they have for sale used traditional kimonos.  My brother and sister-in-law went to the Expo 85 in Tsukuba, Japan. Then to Tokyo and found this treasured robe.  They gave me the robe many years ago,  I have hung it on my walls for years. About 5-6 years ago, I put this piece wrapped in a sheet in my closet.  As my children are not interested in my taste of art, I felt someone who loves this beautiful robe should have the opportunity to purchase and enjoy for many years to come.
This piece is in what I would call great condition, no fading, no rips or tears. It is ready to hang in someone's home. Added picture of tiny marks I just found on the bottom of the kimono. This piece was machine stitched not hand stitched.
