The HTP-73 is generally used for
Pillars & Medium Containers ( 2.5" - 2.75" ) in diameter. This wick is 2 1/2" long with a 20 mm wick tab with a 3 mm neck.
After much testing  we found  this wick size to work well for our 3 inch in diameter 8 ounce Tins. We used
Cargill Nature-Wax C-3 Soy Wax Flakes.
The HTP series is designed to provide the benefits of a self-trimming wick posture with rigidity approaching those found in cored wicks.  High-performance fibers, along with other natural materials are engineered into a specially constructed braid, producing a more predictable wick posture.  HTP wick is especially well-suited for tough-to-burn formulations that contain many additives.  It is also an excellent choice for paraffin, & vegetable waxe

We can only offer recommendations as to wick sizes and applications, but we cannot guarantee any certain wick to work in a certain application because of too many variables involved,
including many different type waxes.
The only way to determine the appropriate wick selection is by experimentation. Test burning will be necessary to determine the best wick for your candles!
