Mother of Sorrows Medal & Chain 10 Karat Gold w/Presentation Box FREE HolyCard

Description

It is a lovely interpretation of the 'Mater Dolorosa', that is, Mary the mother of Jesus depicted as the Mother of Sorrows, (traditional feast day Sept.15th in the Catholic Church). The Madonna is here pictured against a diamond shaped grid, surrounded by a round radiance; diameter of the medal is 7 /8”. This came, just as we received it, with a 19 3/4” long fine gold chain, slightly torqued and spiraled to give a scintillating effect. Both the medal and chain are marked 10 Karat gold. The medal weighs 2.2 grams, the chain 1.8 grams, for a total weight of 4 grams.
This comes in a black velvet presentation box, 3 5/8 by 2 3/4 by 1 1/2”. Age and provenance are unknown; the medal and chain is graded in Near Mint condition. A FREE holy card of the Mother of Sorrows is also included, see photos 1 and 5).
