This stunning vintage piece offered for sale depicts Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal done in an exquisitely detailed antique French crystal intaglio cameo of a rosey-gold hue. The piece lacks no detail and even has the date of 1830 embossed at the feet of Our Lady which signifies the date her apparition first appeared at the chapel in Paris.

The Miraculous Medal (French: Médaille miraculeuse), also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Graces, is a medal, the design of which was originated by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rue du Bac, Paris, France, and made by goldsmith Adrien Vachette.
In 1830 St. Catherine Laboure saw Mary three times and was told to commission the “Miraculous Medal.” This image of Mary has come to be known as “Our Lady of Grace” because she promised special help for those who call upon her.
