Very nice Saint Theresa of the Child lapel pin. CAMCO stamped on back. New old stock without tag.
This lapel pin is a vintage CAMCO item. American made, with a Ballou Reg'd brass butterfly clutch back, also an old American company. This is a very nice pin; no cheap Chinese junk.
This pin is the depiction of Saint Therese--officially Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and Holy Face, she was also known as the Little flower. She is the Patron Saint of:
Florists; foreign missions; missionaries; pilots; against tuberculosis; AIDS sufferers; illness; loss of parents; Australia; France; Russia; Diocese of Fairbanks, Alaska; Diocese of Fresno, California; Diocese of Juneau, Alaska; Diocese of Pueblo, Colorado.
Her image on the pin shows her holding a cross and roses, as she is shown in many other depictions and paintings.
Very good condition; no wear, flaws or damage. It is new old stock; the edges are straight with no dents. CAMCO pins were made from pewter and then gold plated. This pin has also been "antiqued" to better show the details of the figure. It also is semi-3D; the Saint's figure is not flat--see picture. It is a very sturdy pin; actually a bit heavy for its size. The pin is straight and fits tight into the clutch back and works as designed.
