Presented here are an 18K Solid Gold, Open Work Large Medal of French Origin, representing the Virgin Mary, together with its 18 K Gold chain.
This medal is made of white and yellow gold. The main part is surrounded by 8 white gold roses.
The open work is all hand made and very precise: A real work of art.
The medal and the chain are in pristine condition.
The medal is stamped with the eagle French hallmark indicating an 18K gold content. The bail is also stamped 750 - 18 K. Gold with the makers hallmark.
Diameter of the medal is : 31 mm ( 1.25 inches) .- without the bail.
Weight of the medal alone is 4.68 grams of 18 K Solid Gold.
The chain is ALSO in 18 carat gold. Many hallmarks and stamps assert carat value.
