Vintage Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer Bowl Enamel Interior & Underside

Description

Chinese cinnabar lacquer bowl with blue enamel interior and on the underside of the bowl.  The exterior of the bowl is decorated with a relief floral design and top border of rui motifs.  The rui motif is a symbol of good fortune and used extensively in Chinese decorative arts. The enamel portions of the bowl are ringed with a metal ring that appears to be copper gilt, but I am not sure. The bowl is approximately 6 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/4" in height. I obtained the bowl at an estate sale years ago.  Please see photos.  The bowl needs cleaning as there is dust in the crevices of the carving.
