    Description

For sale is a vintage Holy Robe/Tunic of Jesus Trier pin.
The Holy Robe or Tunic of Jesus is the seamless garment that
Jesus wore before his crucifixion.  The actual garment
is kept at the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Trier, Germany.
According to legend, the robe is suspected to have been placed
at the Cathedral at Trier some time in the 4th century by Helena,
mother of Constantine the Great, who previously traveled to the
Holy Land and found the True Cross as well as other holy relics of Jesus.
In 1959, there was an open viewing exhibition of this robe to the public
and this pin is a souvenir/keepsake of that rare event/pilgrimage.
The cross on the pin measures approx. 1 1/2" tall and the pin is
composed of a gold-tone base metal.
The pin is very light in weight and the pin mechanism works well.
This item is vintage and has age and wear.
    See photos for details.
